translucent

Posted by lissa (New York, United States) on 1 October 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Recently visited the Apple store at the fifth avenue location. The store has a translucent walls on the top level and these are the transparent stairs that you walked down to get to the store which was underground. It was kind of strange because it was almost transparent and it's not easy walking down. Looks great but it's not practical. They do have an elevator though.

It was really crowded even on a weekday. I had to wait to try out the new computers. I saw some people seriously surfing the net and working on projects and not just trying out the computers. I didn't buy anything as everything was too expensive. Oh, well, it was fun just to look.
